When i upload my project, it forces my computer to restart... Has anyone else had this problem? I have a macbook pro, though.. Could that be part of it? Suggestions?

I don't think it would be your Mac, but if it is, sorry I run Windows. Are you running a slow internet connection? Is your computer older, with less memory? Maybe a Mac forces a restart when your memory is full. Maybe someone else can help a little better. I don't have a Mac, so if it is a Mac setting I would not know it.

Hi,
I'm having this "restart" issue as well. Our school uses white 13" Macbooks for our students - running Mac OSX 10.5.8. There is no anti-virus software installed, but we do have filters/firewalls in place in the internal network.
I have a Macbook Pro running 10.6.4 - which accesses the school network in the same way as the Macbooks.
The only difference that I can see is that the students do not have administrator rights when they log on to the Macbooks. They can edit and design projects, but when they want to upload projects to the Scratch website - they get a system level "Please Restart you computer" message - and only pressing and holding the power button will reboot the machine.
I can upload to the Scratch site with no worries - using my Macbook Pro.
Apart from administrator rights, or the OS - there's not a lot of other major differences.
Does anyone have any suggestions - my students are keen to upload projects independently.
If you require more information, please let me know and I can get details.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Tim

You need admin rights for it to work

Ahh..
Cheers for that PCKid.
I'll do some testing. I don't want to allow full admin rights for our students - so I'll scout around and see how other users are working with it in a school, using Macbooks.
