You mean, you graduated in seventh grade?

Not really, no. You see, I was to have a graduation to high school in 8th grade, but I left before 7th grade. At my high school we had a graduation at grade eight but we stayed. And now I've been here for six years at the week's end

School A goes from JK to Grade 8
School B goes from Grade 7 to Grade 12

Oh!  That must be confusing.  I never had to change a school district before.

I haven't either.

It's confusing cause you don't live here.  roll

It's not like your system is easy for us.  roll

That's understandable. But what's confusing about the American school system?

The main part is that yhou talk about grades, but also you have 3 schools not counting college and also its offset fromt he scottish schooling system, there was a thread asking what year of school you were in, and JSO put up a thing with all the ages, and if i was in your schooling system, I'd be 2 years lower than here, I think.

but we don't bother with talking about the different schools. we just say 6th grade, or 1st grade. unless you're in high school, when you have freshman, senior, etc.

Re: Graduated

I'm very happy for your graduation. I'm going into 5th grade, but I'm so sick of my elementary school. I mean, I've been ther efor five years. I sometimes wish I could be tortured (Middle school) and not pampered. (Elementary.) Doesn't make sense? Well, sometimes you get sick of the same routine forever.  neutral
