Difference between Pico Cricket and picoboard

What is the difference between the Pico Cricket and the Picoboard, besides price? I am thinking of getting one and I don't know if its worth the $250 for the cricket v. $50 for the picoboard.    Thanks.

Re: Difference between Pico Cricket and picoboard

The Cricket is it's own set and does not connect to scratch in any way. The Picoboard (I recommend it  smile  ) connects to Scratch and lets you program with external sensors.

Re: Difference between Pico Cricket and picoboard

Thanks for the reply, but I still don't get it.  Doesn't the cricket use Scratch and also doesn't it have external sensors -a project PICO shows uses it to make a birthday cake and it plays happy birthday when you blow out candles and the other projects all seem to use external sensors unless I'm missing something.  I'm not that tech. advanced, thats why I ask.  Thanks.

Re: Difference between Pico Cricket and picoboard

Oh, some projects use the Pico board, and others use Lego WeDo, completely different than the Cricket.
