Re: The Scratch Wiki

I just got back on after a while, and I was going to actually start contributing to the wiki, and my password didn't work, and I tried the e-mail new password thing, and it said there was no email account registered.

Scratch Wiki accounts are completely separate from your Scratch one... to get an e-mail address registered, you have to log in there, go to your preferences and enter one in.

Your password won't be the same as your Scratch one - get your password here.

Re: The Scratch Wiki

Can we post things we want to be added to the wiki, but don't have accounts?

If we can, here is the first thing:
http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Obsole … ine_Sensor
There is something very wrong with the picture.
http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/images/Online-Offline_Sensor.png
Unless i am mistaken, in scratch it stops the script and turns red, but online it will continue as if nothing happened.
So, correctly, it should be
when Flag clicked
set [on/offline] to [offline]
obsolete!
set [on/offline] to [online]

Thanks,

1. Yes, you can do that... But have you applied for an account?
2. I tested that script before uploading the image... It is used in this project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/WeirdF-Test/1243428

Go here to request an account, I or one of the other administrators will review the reason you give (including what it says, grammar, etc.) and we will also look at your projects and decide what you can offer the Scratch Wiki.

Not all accounts are created, at the moment we've rejected 56 accounts, and created 190, so only around 29% of accounts requests were rejected.

If we decide to create your account, you will receive a notice on one of your projects on where to get your password and things about getting started...  smile

you're right.  a stage block will stop the whole program offline on a sprite (eg. switch to background), but an obsolete block is ignored offline and stops in java.
