Well of course, it has 2010 special effects and fight scenes, not the 1980 ones

He means, they had the quality of the special effects in 2010, not the primitive ones of 1980.

I think the both karate kid movies are related. The old one, the kid is jackie chan in the new one. ( I think ) and the movies are related!!!!!

Do you have any idea what you're talking about? The new one is a remake. Ralph Macchio(who was also Johnny in the Outsiders) played the kid in the old one. The new one has Jaden Smith as the kid(Will Smith's son) and has Jackie Chan as the teacher.

No I mean like in the old movie the kid trains and in the new movie the kid in the old movie becomes a teacher and passes his generation. This is what I mean.

The original Karate Kid was great. Karate Kid 2 and 3 were not worth even watching. This one is based on the story of the first on, so I am going to see it!
