You Can Still Use The Forums When Banned?!?!!!??
Chezthecolasaldragon here, As many know, i was banned over a year ago. This is weird, becuase my accont: http://scratch.mit.edu/users/chezthecolasaldragon can still acsess the forums, but not the rest of the site. WHy is this? Is this a glitch? And how long is a ban supposed to last anyway?

Well some bans are permanent, some are actually mistakes (contact the scratch team if you think it's a mistake).
The forums are separate from the rest of the site, so I think unless you have a forum ban you won't be banned from forums.

Hey chezthecoladragon, website blocks do not extend to the forums and forum blocks do not extend to the website - thus, it is possible for someone to be blocked from the website and not the forums (and vice versa).
I have no knowledge of website blocks, perhaps the Scratch Team has better insight into the situation. You can contact the Scratch Team at help@scratch.mit.edu

Not so much a glitch as an oversight - normally, if you are banned in one area, you are also banned in the other. But sometimes somebody forgets to do one side - that's probably what happened in your case.
As for how long a block is supposed to last...some of them last until an agreement is reached with the Scratch Team. You might want to contact them to discuss this at help@scratch.mit.edu.
