Well alot of people have been asking for certain songs they cant find, but you can find it on youtube. I have been using this for awhile and I think its time I share it with the scratch community
step 1: go to MediaConverter.org
step 2: find the youtube video with the song you want on it
step 3: copy the url of the youtube video (up in your address bar)
step 4: paste the url into the media converter box
step 5: click continue then choose the format you want it in (Also works for downloading videos)
step 6: wait until its done the right click the download button and save as
step 7: enjoy your song from youtube.
Sorry if this topic doesn't belong in misc, please moderators feel free to move it

I'm not sure we should be encouraging people to download songs from Youtube. Wouldn't that be a copyright violation, in a lot of cases?
I find it interesting that the conversion website you reference is itself unclear on whether what it is doing is legal. A quote from the site:
This website operates in a grey area. So it is hard to say if it is legal or not. Media Converter never got sued so far in the two years of existence.

I sound record to get songs. Strange thing is when I upload the song to Youtube or play it with Windows MP, even after changing the sound track a little it still knows what the song is.

It would be good to read on the Fair Use regulations:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use
Some people might argue that using these songs is fair use, others might argue differently. I think each individual case might be different and it is important to know how to assess our own work under these regulations.
