I made this thread to announce a mod, and now I'm getting negative feedback before the thing even released.

The problem I have is, why just put other people's stuff in your mod if it's in one already? I mean, it's not new, and not improved, so why bother including it?

Yay! Another mod! I love testing mods.
Meh, too!
About my first post: I was simply stating how there are so many mods.
It's not a bad thing! Please don't take offense.
No, No I was referring to JD1's post.

I started making my own one a while back and I think its great, but just when I was about to finish and post it, all these little cruddy mods started springing up and all of a sudden there were 20 "different" mods all over the forums. so i decided not to post my mod. oh well.

I disagree. People should feel free to make them. This is just as outrageous as the flames about art on Scratch. Making modifications are a fun way to advance from Scratch, but still stay with it.

Yes, but why just put other people's stuff together and post it as something new? That's the whole point of my patching system I will develop.

Who ever said this is a spam mod? Each mod has it's own unique feature along with some other general features.

Give me something new and different, and I'll add my features by myself, thank you!
(PS I didn't say it was a spam mod... >.>)

Hrmmm... massive mod proliferation is a bit of a problem. There are so many mods to choose from, and not enough time to try them all out.
I wonder if modders can find a way to work together, and contribute to the same project? The Scratch Team has a bunch of people working together, and that helps make better software.

I don't think there are too many mods. People can make so many mods as they want - that represents the varieties of Scratchers and Scratch mods, and that is (I think) one of the concepts of Scratch.

There are two collabs (I know two) - Panther and Jaguar.
