Professional comes from the word profession, which is defined as "the whole body of persons engaged in a calling requiring specialized knowledge and often long and intensive academic preparation." In no way is "payment" required to be a professional.

To be a proffesional golf player, you need sponsors. Theres also the experts who can be as good as a pro, but of some strange rule which excludes them.

With this thread it seems like your trying to imply you are also a "Proffesional" at scratch. This just seems to hurt feelings for other users then make projects

But you could look at it another way, It may encourage the users to increase their skill at scratch and strive to make better projects.

However, the group is all inclusive, so no scratcher, however amateur they might be, would be excluded from the "professionals". The name is just for show, it really has no implied negativity to others.

It comes from that word, but that is not the definition of "professional". "Professional" is a person who makes a living from whatever his profession is.

Who says PROS is an abbreviation of Professionals? Why not professions?
In other words, you're right
