I think it would be really handy if it was possible to add animated images in Scratch. At the moment, Scratch mostly only supports static images. The only way is via the Stage but it imports each frame of the animation separately so I have to manually link them together, which is a pain. Resizing images this way is second from impossible (just). I would prefer it if it was possible to insert an animated GIF as a normal sprite. Then a lot of the problems would be solved. Maybe there could be an option of editing frames separately but it is not mandatory. This would be really useful for inserting moving sprites. For example, I once made a project with the TARDIS appearing against snow and the snow was animated (a GIF). It took forever!
Thanks!
