can't open scratch

okay, this is kind of inconvenient. so, recently, Scratch SOMEHOW got taken off the dock, (the bar at the bottom of the screen with some things like internet, itunes, etc) and now i found it, but now it won't open. it makes me choose a file, and the scratch files won't work. i can just open a scratch file, without just clicking on "scratch", but this is really annoying. If i want to make a new project, i have to open an existing one and then click "new project."

how can i [blocks]<stop all> [/blocks] this inconvenience?

EDIT- I CANT EVEN GET INTO SCRATCH WITH A SCRATCH FILE!!!!!!

EDIT EDIT- fixed.  big_smile

Re: can't open scratch

Okay there are two things you can try, but I am not exactly sure if they will work.
-Re-download Scratch
-Open Scratch from a flash drive or Disk
Let me know if anything still doesn't work. I might be able to help you more.  wink

When it asks you to choose a file, you have to choose the Scratch image. I don't know why that wasn't already in the folder, but hey...

Re: can't open scratch

it's fixed now- but anyway, that's weird. why would you have to choose that file when you already clicked it? weird.

You clicked the Scratch .app. It runs the .image. But it couldn't find the image, so it asked you for it.

Yeah I saw that I have 555 posts! Besides that, glad it worked. It could have been some sort of file corruption. Or it could be what coolstuff said.
