I want to know how to export a sprite, and then turn it into a .gif file so it can be my icon. Is that too much to ask?

Scratch can't do this, sadly. But if you have a GIF making program (just search "gif maker" on google) you can export each costume separately by right-clicking the costume and selecting "export". Then just import it into your GIF maker, and you have an icon!

I have something called snipping tool. I use that, snip what i want, and save it as gif.

That's handy. I believe it comes on Vista. Came with mine. Mac OS X also comes with an equivalent.
Though I believe Da is looking for something which will turn the sprite into an animated GIF.

Oh. Yeah, I agree.

There isn't a way to do that... but you can read Bluestribute's thread and make an animated icon a different way.

Ok, thanks for the help, but I made animated icons using GIMP.
