who here has had enough of this? the whole advanced scratch forum is dominated by ads for these little dime-a-dozen scratch mods, that all steal blocks from each other, claim to be the best, and clutter up our forums?
of course, don't be a dummy and give me some comment about Panther and BYOB. i fully recognize Panther and BYOB as being great scratch mods, and I think that their creators should keep on doing what they're doing.
but please, just be content to keep your little customized versions of scratch to yourself. this is getting annoying.

I, at least, want to make the best possible mod for the Scratch community. Slash will have blocks that aren't even in Panther! People, like me, who make GOOD mods, with dozens of new blocks and a few unique ones, should be shared.

Everyone should have the chance to make a good mod. And I never saw that other mods shall give credit for the panther blocks!
THE THREE RULES FOR MODS - FOR THE DEVELOPERS
1. If you want to share you mod, do it.
2. If you want to make the best mod ever, develop your block yourself.
3. If you want to get views, follow rule 2.
THE THREE RULES FOR MODS - FOR THE USERS
1. If you hate a mod, don't view it.
2. If you like a mod, download and use it.
3. If you want to give feedback, do that.

Well, that's because I hate single-line blocks. That's why I implemented CYOB. I didn't want a crowded blocks library, so I let users create their OWN blocks!

at least, the ads for mods shouldn't go here. questions should, but there's a lot of duplicates.

(not-really-)Hypothetical Question:
If I wasn't working on Panther and I asked you if you thought it was a spam mod, what would you say?

I agree about the stealing blocks part though. I'll take Jens' flip block so I know how to make blocks, then hit the books to a smalltalk-80/squeak tutorial.

Shouldn't these mods be in the show and tell section, where things are meant to be advertised?

You misunderstood me. I meant that I waned people to keep calling mods spam. They might as well call projects spam.
