I scream for help, yet with alas.

My question is this, to all of you people on the animators side:
Why did you join Scratch?
If you answered "because this way, I could share my art", than you should leave. Not really, and I did it to share animations. But I soon took off from there with art.
If you answered "because my friend told my to join, and now I can have fun and talk to my friends", than you should leave.Nope, I was the first one in school to hear of it.![]()
If you answered "because I enjoy annoying others", than you seriously should leave. .......Heh heh.
If you answered "to gain some experience in programming", than you're in the right place. Naw.
If you answered "to share my creativity and knowledge to make interactive works of art", than you're in the right place. Interactive......heck no.
If you answered "to collaborate with others on projects, having fun", than you're in the right place. Maso menos.
Do you get what I'm saying?Yeah, sah, but I don't agree completely.I'm sorry. But that really just makes me sad. You've really hurt my feelings. You've been stupid and mean before - but this is just to another level.

The problem with it is he says "Let scratch be diverse", but that's impossible, when it's not. Art comprises 90% of front-paged projects recently (read last 1 1/2 years).

Well, riddle me this. You programmers tell us not to care about the front page because it's not everything.
BUT YOUR EMOTIONS REVOLVE AROUND THIS.

We don't care about our stuff being on the front page as things with programming being on the front page. The FP should be a place where you can find recent very nicely programmed things. Not 3 frame animations with popular background music.

I'm kind of both sided now. Though leaning to art...Well, actually - I have my idea:
My opinion
Since the art is majority on this site at the time, we can possibly change the motto - But still Scratch. You can still share games etc, and a new site will be made for games etc. They can still share their interactive art(It's true...We do put less programming), but on the 'gamers' site.
Scratch is still ONE BIG THING, just more 'categorized'. I'll explain this forum is needed.

I agree.
I'm an rpger, artist, and whatever. I don't spend a month on one piece, just a week usually. But I do understand that programmers do the most work, timewise.
I actually think it would be better if it wasn't all art on the front page. There needs to be some more games, to balance it out.
But we really don't need to waste the time on the projects flaming them because of it ._.
That's my opinion XD

All I'm hearing is:
Artists: Diversity
Gamers: Segregation
And look, its getting you nowhere.
Nothing is changing on the front page.
You saw it ten minutes ago, and its the same as before.
If it's making you angry, then ignore the front page. Simple.

Scratch: IMAGINE, program, share. Key word: IMAGINE. Games are cool, and i like them. But i also like RPGing and art. it IMAGINATION. I couldnt program worht a rainbow muffin, and dont plan on learning. People who flame Artists and RPGers are ignorant. Same goes for us RPers. If we flame people who make games, then were just as bad. Im on the RPG side, because alot of my best projects are ideas o got from RPGing. (hence, some of my AMV's and runcycle.) So,lets just co-exist in scratch. Make what you want, play what you want.

Scratch is for diversity. On the video, if you notice, it says: "Share your music, games, and art.
Artists should get respect. I hate it because artists think youre games are awesome. I love games, and I agree scratch shouldnt be all art.
Regardless, you guys should at least SHOW some respect for our art. Scratch isnt just for all games either, guys.
So get over it.

It's true that we don't do much programming, I joined originally for game making(even simple dress up games) - But I KNEW I was much better at art. Yes, Scratch was originally for programming, but maybe we've made friends there, or still adding some music, and simple interactive components with ease. We can't all get flash, or something, join a new site, and get all your friends there...Just staying on to comment is MUCH worse than art! Maybe you made it on Scratch, for an RPG or something - But it's much less of a hassle to share on Scratch, than something else.

But their all meant to be in the same project.
You IMAGINE the project, you PROGRAM it, and then you SHARE it.
There's a reason all three of those words are there in that order.

Middy? Momo? Since when did you guys go on the forums!? Most of us don't...I mainly know of me, keikij, and tonks? Guys - You don't need to help us, not to be mean - But you guys may get real, they won't like that. You don't need to get involved, trust me - You guys are great, but I'm not real tough either. These 'forum-gamer' guys are strong, not easily put down like me. xD I admire how they can't get brought down easily.

If everything was meant to be in one,the world would not be populated. The stars would be none. Time and space itself would collaspe. thats why, just because things are listed in an order together, doesnt mean the ABSOLUTELY have to be in that order,or even together. You have been edimacated on the way of the Midnight Warrior.
