Back when I was nearer to 200-400 posts I really wanted to be a mod. BUt now I'm up to 1000, so I don't think its going to happen.

Well. I think that maybe we could have mod for a week or month. There will be "permanent mods" and "monthly mods". The monthly mods get reelected each month.

Yes, I agree partially, but that would not be as ethic. You would probably sign up like you do for the curator, and a Forum Moderator has to be one that the Scratch Team can trust. Forum Moderators have a huge job to do, so I just don't quite think "Monthly Mods" would be that great... Still it's an okay idea.  wink

Maybe I would make a good moderator someday, but I don't really care right now...

Continue this if you want, but it's just a wate of time. Mods are chosen by the team, not by the community. If you don't like these rules, too bad. Join bwog's new scratch forum or that other guy's other new scratch forum

Well, I saw Jens. They said they asked another mod to clear their status. Jens is now a regular member by choice. I  have no clue what happened with MRN.

I think there is a growing feeling that maybe some new moderators would be good to have.  Ultimately, it is the Scratch Team's decision - but we are certainly interested in what the community has to say about it and who they think would make good moderators.  So keep the ideas coming!

Thank you for explaining that. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't choose me to moderate SR if I was a bad choice. But of course, it depends on what the Scratch Team thinks.
