hello.
i am Macnoob, and i want to use scratch very, VERY differently from other users. you see, remix chains might be popular to some users, but when users do this to excess, it gets irritating. also, while drawing an impressive piece of art can be respectable, it does not have to invade the entire website.
this may sound odd coming out of a new user, but, things are getting out of hand before my very eyes.
So far, i am going to make games on scratch. with the help of a few friends, anything on scratch is possible. but still, scratch is a very limited programming language, and no project shared online may exceed 10MB . also, alpha versions (the project initially, unfinished, glitchy, and under 10MB) will be released as well.
for those projects (Alphas, Betas [beta testing versions, without unlockables and with glitches], and FULL VERSIONS), i would like a special website designated for those projects. EX: MacnoobNetwork.Webs.Com.
ARE YOU IN WITH ME? if so, Thank-you, and, scratch on!

Hey Macnoob,
Welcome to scratch!
I see you are having trouble with the 10MB rule. I never have trouble with this, as scratch automatically compresses the project upon upload (unless you specify otherwise) and therefore the original file on your side's size would be altered when uploading. You should also avoids using long music files, as music takes up a LOT more space than images.
Can't wait to see your projects. Hopefully more new users will follow suit.

Great! Someone finally convinces everyone for Scratch to create games!
Wait a sec, didn't we all know that?
Sorry, just pointing that out.
It's great you're not adapting those remix chains. I am pleased! Follow the tips RHY3756547 gave you.
If you want > 10 MB projects to be available, you can upload them somewhere else, like on a file-hosting site.

i have no trouble compressing sound. i do not like to compress sprites, for doing so weakens the quality.

From this I gather that you have another account.

Not exactly a "new" type of Scratcher.
I wish people would stop stereotyping us by the front page.

1. I remember being new, I felt that things were slipping through my fingers like grains of sand.
2. Me too!
3. I have to object. I can't seem to recall where, but I remember seeing a tutorial for hacking your Java Script works.
4. Umm... Sure! I'm in with you.

i am not trying to stereotype scratch. it is not that the community is a lazy add-yourself community, but that the cruddy add-yourself projects are invading the front page. at least the featured section isnt bad. =p

indeed. these anthros, tokis, and Warrior Cats are placing me into a cold wrath. those who are obsessed with these RPGS are not using scratch capably.

it's that obnoxious.
in other words, i do not like RPing and how it clogged up scratch.

scratch is for programming, but MACNOOB PRODUCTIONS works are over 10mb completed.
scratch on!

reading all these replys, i realise that i am exactly in the middle of this. I love RPGing, as i always have, but mostly merely to satisfy my creative interests. however, first and foremost, scratch should be for programming, and i love programming (and am quite good at it if i do say so myself. HIVE anyone?) I think that original projects of games and animations should be at the front page. I am on your side!

i can agree. RPGing is okay as long as it is nothing but a crowd of anthro-obsessed preteens (anthros, tokis, and warriorcats are popular).
i might join INHUMAN. heck, i might even make it into a scratch game, but that would be later on.

Do you even know what those two things mean...

I note that you are not actually advertising a project or a gallery...which is what the Show and Tell forums are for. So I will move this to All about Scratch.
I would also point out that Scratch is for everybody and we are all pretty tired of having people bash on the art and RPG communities so please treat every Scratcher, and their projects, with respect. Thanks!

i understand. i like some artists (Mahoashley, Juiceybox, Uehara-San, etc.), and i like some RPGs (INHUMAN i am planning on joining), but, i do not like ANTHROS UNITE. there is way to much going on in that RPG. thanks!
