Question: is there a way in Scratch to set the transparency color for .gif format files.
Issue: I have imported a black and white .gif file that has only black and white values due to using threshold.
Upon import as a costume, it shows up as a solid white background (normal) but the black is by default transparent.
My first thought was to change the levels of the black to a dark gray and resave the gif. I did. only the dark gray was still transparent.
I used to have a gif utility that allowed me to set the transparency value. Any suggestions?
My current desired workflow:
1) Hand draw art with pencil.
2) Scan drawing as Tiff.
3) Clean up drawing in Photoshop using curves, levels, threshold, and hand retouching.
4) Change image mode to grayscale.
5) Save a copy as .gif.
6) Import into Scratch in the costume dialog box...
Thanks for any feedback
