Well, I thought I'd exercise my mathematical brain, so here are some statistics about the 1,000,000 Milestone! This is for all the curious Scratchers out there.
Scratch was founded on May 15, 2007, and on April 26, 2010 the Scratch Community had produced 1,000,000 projects. This means:
- The Scratch Community Produced 1,000,000 projects in:
153.857142... seven day weeks
1,077 twenty four hour days
25,848 hours
1,550,880 minutes
93,052,800 seconds
93,052,800,000 milliseconds
-That is an average of:
6,499.535783... projects per week
928.505106... projects per day
38.687712... projects per hour
0.644795... projects per minute
0.010746... projects per second
0.000010746... projects per millisecond
Wow! That's a lot of Scratching!
If I made a mistake, let me know, I'll fix it.

Sure you can! Just give basic credit or link back to this page.

Thanks a lot!
Maybe this would be more of a help in the Announcements forum.

This only took me about 45 minutes to figure out. I had to find the exact days of the year May 15, 2007 was and what day of the year April 26, 2010 was. I found out that by doing some online searches and simple calculating, then I used a calculator for the other parts, but some of the numbers got too big and the calculator said ERROR, so I did some in my head.

illusionist pointed out that the actual date of the project was the 21st of April... I checked the 1,000,000th project, and it's true.

Are you sure it wasn't the millionth project by number (By that I mean that 1000000 is in the URL)? Because that doesn't count deleted projects, test projects, etc. If you look at project #1, it's not actually #1. It's #100 or something.

Chrischb, I think you are talking about the URL, like Coolstuff just stated. If you forgot, some test projects (around 400 projects I think) were deleted, but the links still say a number including all of the deleted projects. The number on the home page (which does not include any deleted projects) , was at 1,000,000 on April 26th, because that is when I updated my Project Percents 1,000,000+ project to 1,000,000 projects. Thanks for noticing Chrischb, but I triple checked, and I'm pretty sure that April 26th was the accurate date of the 1,000,000 project milestone.

This is offically a necropost. It's 2+ months old.
Also I'm wondering why you put milliseconds in the calculations.
