what we need are three separate forums:
one for scratch projects
one for sharing mods and their futures
and one for discussing how to make mods and add blocks
3 exist for talking about projects, and advanced topics is good enough for talking about mods and block making imo

My thoughts exactly.

Originally I looked at Advanced Topics for help with trig and things like that, but I couldn't find it because of stuff about mods. Now I'm trying to make a mod and I can't find enough because of the topics on things like trig.

Trig isn't in AT. It should be in HwS, IMO.

Actually, acording to scimonster (Which requests should go where?):
Advanced Topics — Requesting help with advanced programming, such as Squeak (the language Scratch is coded in) or other programming languages, or trigonometry.

I'm pretty sure that he means using trig in scripts, not discussing it. Because if you're discussing trigonometry, that would go in RaP.

Using trig in scripts, IMO, should wtill go in HwS, because you need Help with Scripts.

Yes, the ATs are also a place to share advanced Scratch programming. Scratch programs that use complex algorithms, or are breakthroughs in Scratch (ie a recursive engine, a chess engine, or a programming language within Scratch), deserve to be shared and discussed here. Sometimes, people integrate Scratch with other languages (The coolest example I can think of would be connecting it to AppleScript, to read the Gyroscopic sensor values of a MacBook Pro, for a balance game), connect it to the real world in cool ways (People have used Bluetooth to use a Wii remote or Kinect to control Scratch), or connect Scratch programs via Mesh (I've seen many chat programs). The idea is not to advertise, but to develop.
Trig isn't a complex algorithm or a breakthrough in Scratch.
Would you consider trig IN SCRIPTS more of being helped with scripts (e.g. "How should I use trig in this?") or in AT? Remember, it's in the scripts that you need help with, therefore HwS.
