-Earth Defender Blastoff- is a rocket ship shooting game in which you defend Earth from an evil alien who is obsessed with what he calls his "Shiny" and his minions. -Earth Defender Blastoff 2- will be coming out soon and will be similar to the first, but this time there will be an option for a second player to control the enemy ships.
I believe the original game had much game-play but lacked a unique story line. (I know story lines are unnecessary in video games but I find that a game with a story line is much easier to follow.)
I am asking all scratchers to please help me get an idea for the plot of the game and maybe some ideas about more features I could add on the title screen. Okay, now I need to ask one more question to any very, very, very (a couple more "verys") advanced scratcher; First, to understand my question better you need to take a look at my project,
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/-GizzardGulp-/940196 You see how the rocket turns when you press the left and right arrow keys? I was wondering if I could make a scrolling type thing where when you press the space bar, (to turn on the engine) it would scroll in whatever direction the rocket was pointing. If you know of how to do this or have a possible idea please comment and tell me as well as maybe make an example project if you have enough time on you.
One last thing; I know -Earth Defender Blastoff- Is not very popular (only 44 views and 5 love-its) and I know that hardly anyone is going to care about the sequel, and I was wondering if anyone could help me change this. just leaving a comment on the project would make me feel better because I spent a very long time making it and its been on the scratch website for over a month and it hasn't really got the popularity I had hoped for. Sorry I'm being kind of snootish It's probably just because I'm new and no one really browses my projects (only two) intensely every single day watching and waiting for my newest project. but, still... I think my project should have gotten a little more popular than it was considering how much work I put into it... Blah blah blah, blah blah. I sort of forgot this forum topic was about the sequel.
Um... the sequel, yes. I am going to make some mini games to go along with the sequel to, its going to be awesome. The reason I am making a sequel and not jamming everything into one project is because it will run very slowly if I do.
Anyway, any help on anything I have said or talked about in this forum topic (you can even insult me, preferably not though) would be great.
