Yes, it used to exist but I think they removed it because people would abuse it by saying the project runs better offline and similar stuff.

Yeah, I say bring it back. I miss it. People would now fail to beat my script record, and it would be funny to own them.

Did I ever say they were better? Perhaps Top Remixed should be removed too, since it's not serving it's purpose of showing useful engines and stuff to base projects in anymore.

Problem s, I can download a project 1000 times, and the little counter will go up 1000 times. Thats why they took it off.

So you think someone will make 100 accounts to download a file 100 times? I doubt it.
Top remixed should be removed. The only thing I remember on there that was good was that mini-game project where you added a game to it.

I really like it when it was there, the Top remixed area is just a waste of space now that it doesn't have any good projects on it anymore, and maybe the remix chains would die down if it was removed.

Top Downloaded had good projects - I'd like to see some good projects on the front page again.
Of course, nowadays we'd probably get the usual stuff on Top Downloaded anyway.

I agree, the top remixed are always "add yourself" projects, stuff like that. If there was a top downloaded you could see why a project was top downloaded, and could help you with scripting. Remix chains definitely aren't helpful, but top downloaded would be.

So you can just see those times: to the see top downloaded of all time, like LINE perhaps, but still be able to see the more recently top downloaded ones.
"top downloaded" is a good thought, but I think we could do better.
I believe the goal of this "Top Downloaded" idea is to feature projects that have merit to the community. BUT, "Top Downloaded" is only good at showing projects that were successful at getting people to download.
The projects might be better, or they might be tricks. ( intentional or unintentional, Like my "Less is More" 0 sprite 0 script project got plenty of downloads, but there is nothing to see.)
Please consider the FaveTag idea. I believe PER-TAG-VOTING would make TAGS on projects more useful and accurate, so people could find projects they're interested in. The "games" tag would be like a front page for games, and have a "top tagged "game"" section, (perhaps sorted by last 24 hours, week, month, all time...) that I believe would help more than a "top downloaded" section.

Right! Projects voted by the community. That's closer to what I'm suggesting. (in the last half of my above comment.) We already have "Love its" but we could do better than that too. Make tags into votes. So the community can easily vote how much a project is a 'game', or 'awesome'... but I don't want to highjack this thread. Let's discuss it here. Or suggest a new idea you think would help us better.
