No, I don't think so
Actually, I did a little researching, and according to the Scratch Reference Guide (http://info.scratch.mit.edu/Support/Reference_Guide_1.4), if you scroll down to Scratch Interfact, you can see it's called the Sprite List.Yes, but the class is called ScratchLibraryMorph, not ScratchSpriteListMorph.
You can't always just go by what the technical name of it is in the source.
It's like saying that the Scratch Cat's name is "Sprite1" xD.

Where? Can you come visit Berkeley?
San Diego, and no, I can't leave my family! But I'd love to go to school there someday. Maybe someday I'll come for a school visit.

I meant with your family, of course, silly! (Yes, I saw the smiley, but this is one of those bend-over-backward topics.)
Maybe someday I'll come for a school visit.
Well, have your visit before I retire in two years.

Now offense Berkeley, but I'm going for MIT (even before I started Scratch).

Aww, having you as a teacher would be so cool

I can sympathize; I myself decided in third grade that I was going to MIT (based on a TV documentary). (It never really crossed my mind that MIT might have something to say about it, but luckily college admission wasn't so competitive then.) On balance I'm glad I made that choice, but it's complicated -- ask me about it offline [EDIT: for example, on the wiki] if you want, lest I get scolded by Lucario for being too long-winded again.
But you might still think about Berkeley as a potential second choice, just in case. Or are you saying that you're 18 and about to start your freshman year there?

I have managed to hack BYOB quite easily to add turn fill screen off etc options to the menu. Now BYOB can be edited!

Billybob-Mario has already released a hacked BYOB on the Slash site.

why is there "edit elements" in BYOB when you right click on a block that lets you edit all that?

I thought they wanted people to not edit BYOB images

Hi developdood,
it's cool that you're interested in the BYOB source code (the Squeak system behind BYOB). Here's how you can easily access all of it:
if you download and install BYOB you'll find a batch file / shell script (for Macs) in your BYOB installation folder offering to start BYOB in development mode. If you do that and then shift-click on the EDIT menu you have all the development options from Scratch's developer's menu.
Enjoy!

In the costumes folder, there is the "gravity cat" sprite which is a picture of the Scratch cat but didn't the Scratch team not let you use that picture?

Oops! Thanks for pointing this out. I looked under "cat" but didn't think to look under "g" for gravity.

I'm trying really hard to keep my grades as high as possible. I'm also doing my best to learn as much as I can about math and programming before I get to high school.
I can't really think of any other college I'd want to go to. Berkeley sounds great, but it's hard to picture myself there instead of in Massachusetts...

*Snorts* I'm a 13-year-old 8th grader! I'm only just starting algebra.

I just wrote (on my talk page) a big thing about college, MIT, Berkeley, etc. but then I saw this and I'm about to reply (at some length probably) on your talk page.

I replied. Thank you very much for taking the time to write that!

I remember feeling that way... But do you know about Caltech? Just for example.
EDIT: Or, for a different kind of example, if I'm remembering my geography correctly you're close enough to Colorado to be able to talk your parents into a trip to Boulder some time. If people were listing all the famous computer science schools it'd take quite a while before they got down to the University of Colorado at Boulder. But my friend Mike Eisenberg, who's on the faculty there, does just amazing work in all kinds of media, including computer programs to do Origami, and languages to control a "3-D printer" that lets you build any shape you want, and he's the kind of brilliant teacher who might turn your life around. Go visit him -- tell him I sent you and he'll give you the grand tour.

"All this learning has been of absolutely no benefit to me in later life, except that I know how to use a library, and I know how to find my way around a used book store, and I know how to think about reading conflicting stories from different sources, because of that interest."
Finding away around a library/used book store!??!? Gosh I wish I had that skill.... xD
But bharvey told me all about how much fun he had when he started algebra, and so did you Shadow... now I'm jealous!
@bharvey: Do you have any tips for doing good enough in classes like Spanish/French, Language Arts/English, or Social Studies so I don't have to put much effort in it so I can focus more on Math? And do u liek mah signature?
