I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

I don't think Mis¢ is the same as TBG credits. For example, you could say,"Bubba, I'll give you 50 Mis¢ if you help me with this project." Or you could give members of a company a salary using Mis¢. Get it? Could you please re-open it?

Having currency in the forums would make them into a sort of game...  hmm

I think it would be useful, not like a game.

How is it useful?  hmm  It's only virtual... even though it can be fun.

Well, people don't have to use Misc. They can just use it if they want to for certain things, especially projects that are made by more than one person.

im agreeing with chris and jonathan, having money in the misc. section, spending it, etc is a type of text based game

I agree...
...however, it's not exactly a TBG, but it's like one.

Well helping with a project wouldn't really be in Miscellaneous. BAD example.

So there should be no fun in the forums, those-who-say-this-is-a-tbg-and-deserves-to-die? I think not. The purpose of life is happiness, why not be happy?

I tried making a new currency and the forum mod closed it.
We should have one here.

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

A Miscellaneous currency, even if related to miscellaneous in some way, is still probably more better suited for the TBG forums. Perhaps you guys can incorporate the concept behind Mis¢ with the current TBG currency you have on the TBG forums?  smile

For example: Let's say companies give out a Mis¢ salary to their employees. The employees could spend it on the shops in the TBG forums.

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

What? But Misc and TBG Credits are different. Misc is for Scratch related things, and TBG Credits are for games in the TBG. It may be possible to use TBG Credits instead, but that would only work for people that play TBG.

IMO, you don't even need currency for requests. You could just ask people for a love-it or something at exchange of a request.  tongue

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

Yeah, but what if it's a big request? A love-it isn't going to be enough. I think it makes more sense to just make a currency for that sort of thing.

PS: This should probably be moved to Suggestions.

Lots of credit maybe, or multiple love-its.  tongue  If you want more than that, I'm not sure.

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

I still think it would be a lot simpler if we just used Misc.

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

How is it simpler?
Without misc:Hey can you Love-it this project? 20 minutes later loveit received.
With misc: hey can you love it this project for 20misc? Ok sure. Love-it received. Ok now wait 1-24 hours for martianshark to change our misc.

Re: I don't thnk Mis¢ counts as a TBG.

Requests and such involving credits are allowed in the TBG... you can set up a business there.  hmm
I'm not sure about collaborations, though - but in my opinion, people shouldn't be paid to work on a Scratch collaboration; they should work on it because they want to.
