Changing Scratch's Name

I am in the process of making a Scratch mod (Slash), and I need to know how to permanently change both the icon and the place where it says Scratch 1.4 of 30-Jun-09.

Can someone help?

Re: Changing Scratch's Name

Whoawhoawhoa.

First off, here are the names of other mods.

Itch,
panther,
m3ow,
scar

I would recommend a name a bit different from the pack.

2nd, I will help and try and find something to help you with that.

i'd like to know that too.  i'm in the process (almost done really) of making a mod called Scribe.  it features BYOB too.

Windows: alt+click on the thing that says based on scratch at the MIT media lab three times then click the red button and select 're-paint'

Mac: Don't know

Linux: Right click and Left CLick at the same time three times

That isn't what I mean. I mean that I want to change the picture of the cat head in the titlebar.

I don't know where you can get M30W, Panther isn't released but will be soon and Itch and Scar have a topic here somewhere.

Black Leopard is availiable here

Re: Changing Scratch's Name

I don't know how to change the icon, but the title.

The tutorial (by nXIII):

Anyway, it turns out that all you have to do is go to
Scratch-UI-Panes -> ScratchFrameMorph -> --all-- -> updateProjectName
and change the two strings.
The one that says '- Scratch' is the one that is stuck on the end of a project name when the project has a name. The one that says 'Scratch ', Version is the one that is displayed when the project doesn't have a name.

The icon in the top left is what ever icon you open scratch with (the icon of the .exe)

Re: Changing Scratch's Name

to change the icon you need to get a software called resource hacker (free) then you must make a .ico file using an online converter. Then using the resource hacker you replace the scratch cat icon with the new one you made.  smile

Re: Changing Scratch's Name

If you use the actual squeak exe to run scratch it has the squeak exe logo. I read about this before you need to make a squeak exe file with a different logo.
