My Curation Duration (heh heh rhyming...)

Hey forum, I just thought I'd continue the tradition of what scmb1 and write down the the reasons why i decided to curate the projects. Most Likely I'll be trying to put up at least one new project for you guys everyday. If not you guys can yell at me or post hateful things down below about how ugly i am (Just kidding)  big_smile .

Anyway here are the Projects I curated during my time (So far.)

April 12th, 2010- April 13th, 2010
ruhn awaye by:mattlicious
I've been informed that this project has been made Top Viewed at one point. I apologize for this but I thought it was a great project. It's a simple yet captivating game. While I was playing this game I was thinking "I'll stop after one more pea... there we go, but wait they're pretty far away from me. I dodge one more." (And you can see where it went from there.) Mattlicious' simple art never ceases to amaze me. Even though this has made top viewed I still think this is a project worth curating.

Do you Like Anything? by:MetharQuxid
Now as some of you may know I am an animator in the scratch community. This guy, MatharQuxid, wants to be one as well as it seems. So I thought maybe curating this guy would be a good jump start for him. The series features two main characters and their crazy adventures. I can't help but to think that this guy might've been inspired by me (Not to sound conceited lol) I adore his smooth art and funny scenarios. Although he only has a few projects up, this guy is definitely worth checking out.

Art help by:petvet300
Alright guys, I know this project is really old but I totally think this is worth featuring. I don't know much about petvet300 but I know she makes a series of comics featuring a cast of somesort. Anyway the project Art help looks like it would be just any other tutorial project but pmce you open the project up what awaits you is a good laugh for at least about five minutes. Don;t get me wrong though. This project really helps you on creating your own style if you're just starting, but the twist in this one is that petvet300 was kind enough to add some humor. and hey, who doesn't like a good laugh during class?

Upside Down, Wrong Way 'round by:RyanBenLee
This project was another one of those why-didn't-i-think-of-that? games. This is a smooth, simple, and challenging platformer. It looks like any other platformer but the real twist is that you're upside down the entire time. It may seem easy but after a while it gets a little disorienting which makes it a challenge. RyanBenLee is also not so famous so give this kid (or man or creature in a cave) a round of applause.

Kriby Bounce V 1.1 by:MikeasaurusRexGames
Yeah okay I know this is my project as well but I chose to curate this project because I put a lot of time and effort into it and I think it's a good way to introduce my new account. If you guys think it's unfair or anything just let me know and I'll switch it out if you guys think it's necessary. The game play in this project gets harder and harder as it goes. Believe it or not this was one of my first projects made on scratch but it's definitely not the first i uploaded. I thought it would be cool for my fans to see what I was up to even before I started sharing my projects on Scratch. Enjoy.

Underwater Life by:juststickman
This project really caught my interest when I had first seen it. It's a simulation project. Usually I don't fancy simulation prpjects but this one was too exeptional and I had to curate this. The program on the sprites is an absolute wonder. this project is a must see for all simulation fans. By the way juststickman isn't the most popular guy on the block either so be courteous and try to check out his other projects. Some of them are pretty sweet.

Stop Motion by:3X3
There are very few projects like this in the Scratch Community. And that is the very reason why i chose to curate this project. Like mentioned earlier I am an animator. And before I took on the scratch website I started working on stop motion films using action figures and toys around my house. 3X3 succeeded in making a smooth and funny stop motion animation which requires little to no skill at all but creates an astounding animation. You should also check out 3X3's other stuff they're pretty awesome as well. I encourage the community to make at least one stop motion animation at least once. It's a great experience and kills time iff you're ever bored.  hmm

Board-Ball by:Bopitman99
Okay guys, settle down. I know I just curated a stop motion animation but I couldn't help but to notice this one. This stop-motion animation is called Board-Ball. The project starts out as a hand with a rubber ball. The real twist comes when the ball is tossed into the white board but instead of bouncing off it becomes a Dry-Erase drawing of a ball bouncing around the board. Bopitman99 also made another stop-motion similar to this and some other stick figure action animations. Pretty interesting looking Scratcher so i think he deserves some credit on his hard-worked projects. Eh?  smile

Asteroids (With Badges) by:SeptimusHeap
Yeap, I'm bringing you guys another game today. It's what you guys would probably recognize as the classic game of asteroids on Scratch. It's simple with addicting gameplay with the added 6 medals that you can unlock. SeptimusHeap also put up a Classic Version of the Asteroids game and other great Apps you should try out. I have also featured another not-so-popular Scratcher so be nice to him by checking his projects out once in a while.

Draco britannicus by: ToxicRed
Today isn't so much of a game day but the project selected today is more of a simulator. It's a project based off of the great "Worm Dragon". It follows your mouse in a snake like fashion. There really is no point to the game but it's fun to snake around the stage with a backdrop of Worm Hill collecting honey cakes and treasure by spitting fireballs at them. It's a project worth checking out and ToxicRed isn't so famous either so curating him will hopefully boost up his morale and help him create more great projects in the future.
========================================
Well I guess it's the end of the line for me everyone. I'd just like to thank the scratch team for choosing me. and everybody, Scratch on!  smile

Awesome! I love reading the statements from curators about why they chose different projects.  I sort of wish we could put these in some forum other than Miscellaneous though... maybe Show and Tell - cause the curator is kind of "showing and telling" about projects they think are cool? What do you think?

You are making me feel guilty.  lol

I chose my curator projects because they were good, unique, and fun.  smile

I don't think preferential organization works in this situation.

Just my opinion...  roll

I think this is good for me. It helps me keep organized and on top of things. Writing this list also helps me curate new projects every day  big_smile

Congrats! (By the way, I didn't start this. At least two other curators- coka and The-Whiz - did this before me)

Nice title! Very catchy  smile

May you look at my projects, Mikey? I know this is kinda showing off, but I think my projects need to be seen by more people...

My SepAnimate project is really quite simple, and cool. Could you check it out?

Re: My Curation Duration (heh heh rhyming...)

Ah - when I first read the descriptions I got distracted and missed the one about Kirby Bounce. We'd prefer that curators don't curate their own projects, even if they are from different accounts or categories. Curating is mostly about showing projects by others that the curator finds interesting, or is inspired by.
Sorry for not clarifying that in my first post  smile

I think he's saying organising it from favourite to least favourite doesn't work. I disagree (partly because I have no idea what you guys are talking about)

That's okay. I switched it out anyways. Scratchers didn't appreciate that either  hmm  lol

EDIT2: If it is, I QUIT! if not, then what made you think that I would quit?
EDIT3: Confused, aren't you? THAT'S THE POINT >:D

No I'm not quitting, I was just saying that if this was to stop me from quitting I would quit, although there would be no way to tell if I planned to quit because I do not plan to quit.
