My mom was planning the trip to Boston for Scratch Day. We were going to take a train to Boston and spend the weekend there, but she looked at her call list and it turns out she is on call that weekend (she is a doctor). My dad was the original person to take me, but he was on call too.
So I can't go to Scratch Day MIT or any of the others.

The closest one for me is a 2 day drive or a 4 hour flight and that would cost over $400 either way...

Why do you want to go there anyway? From my understanding it's just grown-ups talking about Scratch development
No fun and games, just work

That would be the conference, not Scratch Day.

My nearest one is in Ireland
... the one in England was in February... There were a lot in England last year... only one this year
Hopefully, they're just late in adding...

A while back I remember you said that Columbia University, New York was easily accessible Scratch Day location relative to you. If not MIT, perhaps you can get a family member willing to take you there?

I can't go to any because both my parents are on call and my Au Pair is taking car of my 4 year old brother and 9 year old sister so it just would be too hard.
