Re: Oh, ow!

I'm sorry, but your friend dies, and a dog attacks you soon after? Please don't hop aboard the sympathy train.

I loved how you used the word "attack" there. But when a friend dies people deserve sympathy

Dog "attacks" happen every day

Once a huge lab jumped on me and I couldn't breathe because his tounge kept lapping where my mouth and nose was.

THat's somewhat like what happened to me as well.

He jumps up on me, knocks me over, rolls me over, scratches my arms + legs, then starts licking me all over, especially in the area of the scratches.

And he ripped up my best t-shirt and bit me on the chest.

This is what happened.

My friend noticed that he was just about to bury her brand new slippers, so she tells me to take it away. I'm smart, and I know not to just grab it away. So, I threw his chew toy. It worked - he dropped the slipper and went after the chew toy. But he sees me pick up the slipper and decides I'm his chew toy instead. D-8

Fail.

lol he's just trying to get the slipper back thats all, my dog scratches me sometimes when he tries to get a toy but not on purpose, he's just trying to get it because he thinks its a game.  he probably should've had his nails cut.

also dogs lick you because they like you

as for the bite, im not sure but he probably thought you had the slipper somewhere and tried to get it.

He was licking me where my cuts and scratches were.

As for the bite...he might have saw me trying to get away. I shouldn't have started to running...

Dogs have hunting instincts, I guess.

Re: Oh, ow!

licking isn't an attacking thing its dogs being friendly lol.  as for the bite if he was a friendly trained dog he was probably trying to get it from you, or he was badly trained.  either way running away from a dog is a race you can't win.

this seems over-hyped to me and i think your just seeking sympathy.  i wont be viewing this topic anymore.

Re: Oh, ow!

WHAT!? Yeah right. I doubt the dog was biting and scratching you on purpose.

By the way, I take care of a dog that bites and scratches all the time when I'm playing with him, but he doesn't do it on purpose - he's just trying to take the treat or chew toy or whatever, and then misses me and bites my arm or something slightly.

He's just playing. And no offence, but I think you're overreacting a lot.
