I like it, but I feel that 7 was more aunthetic than 8. I'm saying that because I liked the cool file browsing thing.

precisely!

And 7 had preinstalled apps!

Me and 75% of the scratch community is too lazy to download the different applications, and to install them. Sorry.

Re: Who actually likes Xenotype 8?

heres an idea, why not accept 3rd party apps, i have a bunch of projects that are often used as os apps here:
paint app: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/PlayWithFire/896101
sudoku app (1s1s): http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/PlayWithFire/895699

not to mention im currently working on an animation app along with several other things.

Re: Who actually likes Xenotype 8?

i say a great way to get people interested would be to incorporate third party apps into the xeno-shop.  give everyone a way to create those apps and then let them create the apps for you. then you could add some apps as default applications without getting rid of the idea that you can install your own apps.  that way you can also have a huge amount of apps without having a laggy os.

If I made an OS then programs would just boot. No fuss.

There's an OS for that. Sangle OS. xD I sound like I am advertising, don't I?

You have 4 kinds of apps for Sangle OS to import:
Fullscreen Settings apps
Normal Settings apps
Fullscreen Other apps
Normal Other apps

Sangle OS does import, and if you ask Fg123, he'll say to you with no doubt that it was the first importing system.

Proof: this link shows a project which was a beta of Sangle OS that imported one application half a year ago.
