For my own native projects or projects that I download and try to edit I can not add sound. The blocks are there but if for instance if I add
[blocks]<play drum( 48 )for( 2 )secs>[/blocks] nothing happens. All the sound on my computer is up and the native scratch volume is at 100%. I know its not my computer because sound on other people's projects works online. Please Help! Sincerely, iisj23.
P.S. I have re-started and even re-downloaded Scratch. Sound still does not work.
FIXED! Thanks to some help by mathmatics. All I had to do was double click the volume icon and make sure all of the sound bars were as loud as they could go.

Hey isj23, the note blocks and drums block require the use of a MIDI playback device in order to work. Check your master volume control panel and see if your SW Synth is muted - if so un-mute it and the sound should work.

Probably your SW Synth volume is turned off.
Double-Click the speaker icon in the system tray (lower-right corner of your screen) and tune up the SW-Synth volume to the max.
Does that solve your problem?
