In the paint editor, if you want to draw a perfect circle/square, hold down shift while drawing the shape as normal.
Also, if you want to draw a perfectly horizontal/vertical line, use the same method.
If you want to select a colour for the lower colour in the paint editor, without clicking the switching arrow, shift-click the colour you want.
Note: You said in the first post that you can shift-click all of the top six buttons in the paint editor - this only works with the first four...
I can't think of any more things that shift is used for (except the obvious: capitals, symbols, etc)...Uhhh... you would even have been able to use the shift click on the last 2 buttons in the paint editor, they're the flip buttons.
Yes, but it doesn't make the buttons do anything extra or different...
Thats what I just said.

It was? Your earlier post confused me...

What I meant by this was that dav09 implied that the resize, rotate, and flip all had a window appear when shift-clicked, and was merely correcting him...

I found another two - the "undo" and "redo" buttons in the paint editor lose functionality when shift clicked.
EDIT: And another... if you hold the shift key down when drawing out a selection box for the stamp tool, then let go of the mouse button, the sprite is stamped where you began to draw the selection, as well as a copy following the mouse as normal.

@Your earlier post: Yeah... I'm just trying anything, to be honest...
I've found out a way of working on multiple projects in the same window, by turning fill screen off, then shift-clicking the white space, and selecting the only option (should be called ScratchFrame). Then, some little icons will appear, and if you click the green one in the top right corner, it duplicates the frame. Then, there's a khaki icon on the middle left, which you can minimise the frame. There's also a salmon-pink icon in the top left, with an "X" on it - it deletes the frame.
And as far as I'm aware, these extra frames function fully - blocks seem to work normally... Sprites and scripts can be transferred between frames, although the sprites don't show in the area below the stage...

Cool! For some reason the Shift-Share one isn't working for me...
If you need help on how to enable mesh on scratch go to this helpful thread:

Oh, wow, never knew about the project summaries one. That's pretty cool! I wonder what other shift secrets are out there.

Should this post be stickied? Or will we just leave it as it is?

Found another one!
Shift-click the "R", then turn fill screen off. Then, shift-click the "Scripts" tab. You can change the text to anything - the same applies to the "Sounds" tab, but, strangely, not to the "Costumes/backgrounds" tab... pretty useless, but I was clicking anything, and it was quite a fun little trick, so I thought I'd share it

I have a new discovery adding it now!

Clever, you should do a tutorial on that!

Thanks - tomorrow maybe Although it does crash Scratch occaisionally And I found that you can change the colour of the different sections/blocks via a similar method.

Please give images to everyone who finds something!

The one you just added can be done without shift-clicking - just normal clicking will bring up the true/false/answer bubble...

Yes just noticed that sorry

If no one noticed(since I didn't even figure this out myself :S) another shift trick in the paint editor is to shift-click a rotation button.

@dav09: That new update of yours does lead to something - I'm creating a guide using that method right now... It's a very useful menu, despite only having one option. Look for the guide to be out at some point today/tomorrow.

Iv got more pictures!
Shift-click the R, turn off fill screen, then shift-click the whitespace, click on the scratch frame, you'll get something that looks like this:
The buttons do various things, hover over them to see what they do.
You can make more than one of the frames now. Click the green one with the two slides on it.
you will get something like this:
Ok, so now that we've done that, we can now drag scripts from frame to frame.
And, if you click the minimize button you can do this:
The little one in the cornner, I will come to next.
The possibilitys are amazing!

MP56...
I'm working on the guide for editing the Scratch Frame, but I think that there's something wrong with either my version of Scratch, or my computer...
Does a pale red box (like the browser) come up when you try to turn Fill Screen on, so that you can't get rid of it?

I didn't turn it back on, I just closed it and told it not to save the image.

You can also do that in paint, and possibly other painting programs
