School- What do you think?

Well, right now since I am in the middle of Spring Break (A two week vacation from school) I was thinking about how I miss school. I called my friend and he said why. I said the fun of learning. He laughed, and hanged up the phone.

The point is that I want to know your opinion of school. What do you think?

Re: School- What do you think?

I mostly like school, because I like to learn, but there are a few teachers I don't like too much. I'd like school way better if I had no homework!

What is "IMPACT". I'm guessing it's math but I am not sure.

Yeah, but without homework we wouldn't actually learn the subjects we face in school. We would just remember it. If we learned something in class and we had no homework about it, we would forget about it within a month. But, the truth is that homework can be a pain, but it is worth it.

Good point, good point. I'll just ask for less homework then. Although, I suppose taking easier classes would accomplish that...  smile  Actually, I'd be willing to go to school 3 or 4 hours longer if I was guaranteed 0 homework.

Sometimes, If I could I would ask for less homework, but usually I would just do the normal homework. I was wondering... What grade are you in? Don't answer if you don't want to though.

It's not that boring. I know we don't learn much if we don't attempt to learn ourselves but, at least the government is trying to teach students. Let's just hope we don't get a tax on that.  tongue

Re: School- What do you think?

We're way overdue for some changes to the school system - even my principal says so. The whole point of going to school is to learn, but it's the system we're using right now that makes learning look bad.

One of the biggest problems is that there's no flexibility at all. You can't choose what you learn, and you can't even organize your own schedule. On top of that, when you come back from school after having a bad day, you don't have any time to relax because of homework (*shudder*). Then there's still other things like bullies that can make the experience all the more stressful. Luckily, people are actually starting to realize these problems and do something about it, so hopefully we get some well-needed changes soon.

Yes, I have really strong opinions about school.  roll

I hate school.

And why does the government force us to go to school anyway? We should responsible for our learning, not the government.

Re: School- What do you think?

School isn't even for learning -- it's for forcing us to become part of civilization. My old principal admitted it. However, nobody at my middle school will admit it.

Spring break ended for me last week.  I was in a power outage for half of it, but it still beat school.

But most kids as 4-5 year olds are incredibly irrational. You can't expect them to want to go to school but when they're doing to garbage they're gonna wish they had gone to kindergarten.

At an age that young it is sometimes necessary to have someone step in and do what is best for you even if you don't like it.

Re: School- What do you think?

I know someone who refused to do homework. School lasts about six hours, you sleep for over a third of a 24 day but for arguments sake, lets say it's a third. A third of 24 hours is 8 hours. 24-8=16. 16-6=10. And then they tell you to do MORE WORK! If I went to school,(which I don't) I would refuse as well.
