I think that's a good idea, the galleries with mods and stuff
But you're either gonna need a LOT of mods or some mods that can constantly check a LOT of galleries
PS: I would love to be a mod in a gallery or galleries

I think what lanie is saying

Honestly i am going to have to disagree with you Jman! I don't think scratch is boring i have been hooked on this site for 6 months and for those 6 months i have been on EVERY day! if there was a hour count on how many hours i have been on the site total i think it would be well over 500 hours! When i get home i go right to the computer and go here! I LOVE THIS SITE SO MUCH ITS PART OF MY DAILY LIFE ROUTINE. might sound dorky and stupid but thats your opinion. I think this is a brilliant way to make things about how you feel, what you like, and express those in projects! and i think i am getting better at it! I love to see how others work and i like to discuss about the site, i talk to my parents about it and i show them the work of other scratchers and my work! My dad said to me " This Site Has Progressed a lot in the work effort and creativity!" That made me happy! So that is my opinion i definitely don't think Scratch is boring!
and what Jman's saying

Hey, me too! I'm just saying it gets boring after a while!
Are saying the same thing, Scratch is brilliant if you go on once a day, get messages, check up on forums etc. but after you've done all this unless you need to make a project you've done everything, I don't want to be mean but Scratch doesn't really organise stuff which leaves us to our own devices and if you want to chat on scratchnations it all depends on someone else being there to chat with

Well if you are asking for sprites make your own. Jeez. Sprites don't grow on trees you know.

I will gladly volunteer to manage galleries!

Moderated Galleries would have to have be separate category. If the idea of "recommending" was implemented, it might not be so difficult. Review a recommended project to see if it fits, then accept or reject. If the moderator(s) don't get by to check, the projects in queue could be cleared out after a week or so...

I would voulinteer to be a Maderator as well, After all, I am very good with Themed Galleries, animation, games, ect., as well as me creating RPG galleries!
If the Scratchrs decide to make Gallery Moderators, I'd nominate myself, not just because i'm me.

This idea is well....just an idea. And wouldn't the Scratch Team pick moderators? For the forum moderators, people didn't just go, "I want to be a moderator" and become one. The Scratch team picked them.
(Sorry is you are offended or anything!)

For the second part of your quote, I agree. Not all galleries will be managed, so only a certain number of moderators are needed.

I think that for the galleries there can be many gallery editors, each managing his or her collection of useful galleries and projects. Only a couple of higher-level managers are needed to collect and group the galleries into a quick table of contents at the top.
That way existing themed galleries could still be managed by the existing owners.
A submit/accept process would be nice for galleries, so that the owners of the galleries can preview projects before they get added, and even decide to put the project into a different gallery.
It should be possible for anyone to submit any project to a gallery, not just the project owner, so that if say Paddle2See finds a project that he thinks belongs in my fireworks gallery, he can submit it.
It will be necessary to allow metagalleries to be reorganized easily, so that new subgalleries can be created easily and subgalleries can be moved around.
Having gallery-owner text with each object in a gallery could also be very useful, as the reason a gallery owner may have collected a project may have little to do with what the author had to say about it.

I think i would be a good Gallery Moderator. My gallery was featured twice in 6 months and Andresmh said that the featured galleries get picked due to Organization and other stuff! I think it would be nice to have a Responsibility on here! Like i said i have been on Scratch Everyday for the past 6 months since i became a member. I made over 500 forum post on my old account too! If they decide to pick gallery moderators i do hope they would consider me, I really do i would devote my days to help moderate the scratch galleries! Please Take into consideration
