Instead of the Scratch cat, since everyone loves Russia, I propose a new Mascot.
Mr. Russia himself.

I finished my project. It has voice-over and gives my ideas about the new features and gives an idea for a new block: http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/1521/type.gif
What does the block do?

My project explains... It types the text at the sprite's position. I also made other block mockups to go with it- "set type color to ()," "set type size to ()," set type font to ()," and "clear typing."

So in theory people would be able to make their own word proccesors?

Yes, it would make it easier to do stuff like that. It would also just be another form of output. Say, for example, you were making a game and you wanted to show the score, but you didn't want it to look like a variable. The type block would make it easy to print the score anywhere on the screen in any size, font, and color you want. Most other programming languages have a function like this. It is usually called "print," but I thought "type" would be easier for new and younger Scratcher to understand.

Well, actually it is already possible to do so. The other day I saw a great word processor with saving function too, that was made with Scratch 1.3. It's just that with the block scmb1 suggested it would be easier to make a word processor on scratch.

True... but what would really be helpful is a stamp on top of, but i dont think its possible...

So, you mean a possible stamp layer. It seems pretty possible to me. But then again, I don't program in squeak yet.

I ment on top of sprites, Currently it isn't possible (Or hasn't been done)

Allowing you to program, remix, and share projects directly within a web browser, without any downloading or uploading, THATS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT EPIC

How about ((variables)show/hide list blocks, [listname^] contains [combi-field] at #(parameter) blocks), and the mouse pointer as a sprite? That would be AWESOME, 'cause you get to design what the mouse pointer looks like!

make the scratch errors like windows/mac errors

Features from Jens' BYOB should be implemented... the Make a Block feature would reduce hacking, and plus, you wouldn't screw up the Source Code! The Elements window may come in handy soon... What about like a Online/Offline connection in Scratch? Then, if you were online, special online features would be enabled. For example, you could browse the web within Scratch. I also think an Options window would be handy. (Duh.) I think we could have like a network inside Scratch. (Very handy for chatting. Without Mesh!) I have a dream that Scratch could be turned into a virtual world. I mean, most virtual worlds are Flash, right? Scratch could very well be a virtual world. A 3D renderer inside Scratch would be AWESOME. Then, we could create 3D Scratch projects! Also Scratch for consoles like the Wii, DS, PSP and XBOX (maybe), would be cool because we could make Scratch stuff directly from our TVs! It would also be AWESOME to have some of the older/obsolete blocks and features from older versions return. Hence the comment block's fabled return. lol. MAYBE. I would like more of an easier way to get into the Source Code. Right-click, then do what you hackers usually do! I would REALLY like more unique features in Scratch, like game packages that you could access inside the Source Code! One thing I REALLY would like is a flag button for users and galleries. I would really love all of these features in Scratch 2.0, if the Scratch Team could make them, that would ROCK! Thanks for reading this epicly long post! XD
