Is there an official name for the online image of a project?

The image that appears for each uploaded project is under the control of the Scratcher who made the project.

If there's a "Start" screen we can upload it with that showing.  Or, we can wait and show the very last screen when uploading.

Sometimes it's most effective to let the project run a few seconds, stop it, save it, and upload it with that very moment showing as the image online.

Is there a name for the "project images" that appear on our own pages, and on the Home page and other pages as well?   smile

I've always called them thumbnails... but I'm not sure.  smile

That not only makes sense, but it's traditional isn't it!

Now let's just hope everybody agrees!  smile

I guess I'd call it a thumbnail, like Wolfie said.

Yes, "thumbnail" image is what I've always called them.

In honor of Chrischb the voting time has been extended and now stands at:

In favor: 5.
Opposed: 0.

It would be an overwhelming rout of the opposition, but there doesn't seem to be any!!   smile
