You have to open Scratch then click the file in the middle right hand side. It's called import file.

Hey swim4life98,
I see you are probably interested in posting art on Scratch. Are you making animations or games?
I'm warning you some people are against art on Scratch. Check out DeviantART which is very nice for posting drawings.

I'd rather you don't care how I welcome people.
Just saying.

I do care if it's negative towards others.
Believe it or not, some people look up to you and you're setting a bad example for them

I am not starting another argument with you, either.
You're used to those YouTube trolls.
I wouldn't care more either. You don't care about shortening the argument.
You're setting a bad example of yourself.
Ugh...

It seems this thread is otherwise taking a turn for the worse. Remember everyone, this is a site for welcoming people to Scratch and helping them out, not for arguing or assuming the worst of others.

Hey swim4life98, welcome to the Scratch Forums. Like Lord-Sprites said, you can hit the import button to import and image into Scratch. Another interesting way to bring an image into a Scratch project is to drag the image from your desktop onto the Scratch in the taskbar.

Or you could load it from the load button under the stage. But thats is mainly used for loadng sprites.

I seriously didn't know about the dragging way!
Doesn't always work for animated files, but i know a way around that but, yes, you can drag the images in, and they will be inserted into he selected sprite/or stages costume area.
With animated file/images you can get all the frames in it. But some dont work, for that i use Animation Shop 3 by Jasc which shows me all the frames in it, then i export them and import them in bulk, in the same way as i said for th non-animated files.

For animated gifs, you just use the Scratch Cat. You import the costumes onto it's sprite, not directly from file, and then delete the 2 scratch cat ones at the top

Thats what i just said, except i tend to use a single pixel/dot sprite for it, when im doing several animated gifs.

I'm not arguing with YOU either... maybe that post was made a long time ago.
Maybe I misunderstood. Do you want to implement pictures into projects? People already said that, so...
