How you got it i don't know - they stoped it in 2004.
If you have XP, do this:
Hit F8 while starting up.
Select 'Safe Mode'.
Now, delete these EXACT files.
C:\Windows\msagent\ms****.com
C:\Windows\System32\ms****.com
C:\Windows\dxdgns.dll or C:\Windows\System32\dxdgns.dll
Now, try F8 Again on restart, and select normal mode.
see if it works.

I tried a different method and it worked. CLose topic, mods?

i hate this, maybe try run safe mode which im not sure works on windows 2000, safe mode can track down all files and programs which could be deleted, also try www.free.avg.com is a good software, and ie 8 for future downloads.

So wait, that means it could be a keylogger or something, doesn't it? Or someone using Active Sharing on your computer which he/she might've tricked you into enabling. Seeing the stuff you were typing, this person could then tone down the rampaging at the sight of the new anti-virus you're trying and strike later on.

I personally recommend re-installing Windows 2000, but if you want to keep what you have then run anti-virus software. Avira is a good one because it is not such of a recourse hog. I hope that your problem will be gone.

Sometimes children under the age of 12 do not know how to operate their own computers.

well sounds like your a very lucky person, IDK if you could even have the chance to install some proper security software so my best suggestion is to back up whatever files you have left and reformat your hard drive (wipe all data off it)

PS: Macs are better and faster. They get less viruses and are sleeker and more modern! So you're not a techie!
Boot up into safe mode. I remember a good antivirus program but I forgot its name...
Can I see the wikipedia article?
What have you recently downloaded?
What browser and OS do you use?
