Scratch resources

...:::Scratchresources : resources.scratchr.org:::...

Scratchresources.tk is a scratch resources site where you can download tech sprites, animated sprites, scripted or unscripted sprites, sound effects, sound loops, midi sprites, helpful tutorials, etc etc. I started the site.

Looks useful?
==> Go to scratchresources! resources.scratchr.org

This is the help:
NEW I have installed a PunBB forum, like thisone! I hope you like it. Please register  smile

Sprites

At this place you can download sprites, ready to use in your own project! The sprites are listed in categories - the categories used in the Scratch project folder + "tech". You can download sprites by clicking their thumbnail. The sprite creator is listed, and you can go to his/her scratch profile by clicking his/her username.

Sounds

The sound page contains several useful sounds - splitted up in categories of the scratch media folder too ("Animals", "Effects", "electronic","Human","Instruments", "Music loops", "percussion", "vocals") and MIDI sprites. You can listen to the sound using the online MP3 player (made in flash, by me too. The uploaded player file is not useful for other sites to prevent people using it without notifying me , it connects to my server, but I can change it if you want. Contact me when you want to use it) Download the MP3 sounds by clicking the download link. MIDI sprites: MIDI sprites are Scratch sprites, not in MP3 format. They contain scripts with MIDI blocks.

Tutorials

This section contains a page with links to Scratch video tutorials. Currently there are only very basic tutorials. I have used the free program Wink, so you can create your own too. Send the and I will upload them to Scratchresources.tk.

Notes

<> Sprites don't contain a history. So nobody will see you've used a scratchresources.tk sprite. The creator of the sprite has worked hard on it, so remember to give credit. The best way to do this is to add "scratchresources.tk" to your taggs.

<> Can anyone tell me if the online MP3 player is working well? Is it OK that it always downloads all sounds viewed? Thanks

Contact us

First, try to ask your question on the Scratchresources Forums Some one of the ScratchResources team will try to help you there.

Having trouble? Do you have files for Scratchresources [read below] ? Suggestions?
Email me!

How to get your files on Scratchresources: sent an email, with the files in attachment. It may take a while before they are shown on the site. Sorry  sad

Re: Scratch resources

Yes, it is finished. Of course, I will keep adding sprites sounds and tutorials, and i will keep improving it, but this version works (and looks, and sounds  big_smile  ) fine.

Awesome!

When you try to download the ResDaP platform, it fails and links you to a website that basically says it is an error. Check it out.

Re: Scratch resources

Oh and the MP3 player works just fine.  smile

I have a whole collection of great sound effect I haven't even used in my projects. Shall I upload them in a project or email them to you?
It would be easier to email though...

I have done a few bug fixes -

Re: Scratch resources

On a Mac you can't download anything on safari (it just gives you code all over the screen), but you can on firefox. Weird.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

hmnwilson, I tried using Safari to download a project and had no trouble at all.  Perhaps your copy of Safari is damaged somehow?

Re: Scratch resources

Thanks MyRedNeptune for the sounds!

I have now created the same categories for the sounds online as in the media folder, I think that is more easy for beginners to use.

Re: Scratch resources

Now people can send files to me, and i can upload them.

But it would be way better if people can upload directly to scratchresources. There is one thing that blocks this whole idea. The skynet (my internet provider) servers where the files are uploaded on (scratchresources.tk is only a domain name) do not allow php.

Are there solutions to allow users to upload files to a server without php? Or should i move the site to another host that does allow php?

Is it a good idea allow users uploading sprites sounds etc.?

Please tell me your toughs about this...

Re: Scratch resources

I think it would be easier to collect sprites if users could upload the sprites themselves.

If you are looking for a decent free web host with php enabled you can try http://www.awardspace.com/

Re: Scratch resources

Wink is a screen capture program, you can record videos from the screen with it, and add some easy objects to it. You can export as flash.

read more about wink at the wink site.
