I dunno, it would be "all about scratch" if people actually talked about ways to make projects there.
Advanced topics is more or less like "all about scratch" except with the occasional person who is actually looking for some complex info, and users who think the stuff they post is advanced when it would easily fit with "all about scratch".
Show and Tell contains just ad threads and isn't really interesting.
Request is full of requests that usually go unanswered, and collabs is full of groups that fall apart once they try to do anything.
Suggestions is just repeating things that scratch should clearly have.
Text Based Games... I like to think it isn't part of the site anymore.
Based on this, I would say I like the misc forum the most because people can have in depth discussions about things that interest them. No one really has any deep discussions about scratch in the other sections like other programming/development forums do.

Arch, you raise a good point. But, TBG is actually a part of the site. Just a different portion. I agree with some of it, but not the entire forum is spam or out of order...hrm...you give me an interesting idea!

TBG was filled of useless posts of kids playing pretend animal games. It was moved because it was too hard to moderate all the posts. But I don't think that forum ever contributed anything quasi-useful or meaningful.
While its true that the entire forum isn't spam or out of order most of it is.

They have a lot better games in the new one now. The featured games are definitely a good place to avoid animal topics.

Ok let me see the games...
Post until a mod comes...
pretend to be a super hero...
name things...
Yep still pointless and not useful or thought provoking.

Its just my preference I guess. I like being able to talk in depth about topics and have other people who can also talk about things and give their insights.

I completely agree. I just think it's a little negative of you to name possibly the worst (no offense) threads in the TBG. lol.

From what I saw most of the TBG threads fell in to one of the categories I mentioned. Its just my opinion but I think that most forum games are a waste of kilobytes.
