No, you'll have to redo the Mesh edits.

i know how to activate mesh but how do u add mesh scripts?
Offline
Uh... Mesh scripts aren't really different from normal scripts - you just use broadcasts and variables to communicate between Scratch programs. Other than that, the scripts are the same.

I'm going to port ChuChu Rocket! to Scratch, and I'm gonna have it support Mesh. When it comes out, PLEASE play!

why is it that one computer works perfectly with mesh, but the other computer does not recognize the variables in the sensor value block? i have done everything to set up mesh, change system browser, shift click share and type in ip's, even the computer that is not working says "remote sensor connections enabled" when i start the program on it. what should i do?
thanks,

If you enabled Mesh on both Scratch programs, it should work. Are you using the ([ ] sensor value) block on a Scratch program for variables that belong to the same one? Use the normal variable blocks.
Offline
How do you use the Sensor value block? my variables don't show up where [slider] is. I also don't understand where to use it. Help appreciated!
Offline
If one Scratch program has a variable, a Scratch program connected to it will see that variable in the ([slider] sensor value) block. Are those conditions met?

Oh so they have to be connected to me, while I program it? That makes NO sense.
Also, my IP comes up as localhost when I host a MESH session... No one can connect. I Try my real IP, and that doesn't work either.

Well, how would a Scratch program know about another's variables when it isn't connected to it?

Mesh sessions will only work in your local network - you know, computers next to each other and such. If you want to go further, use a program like Hamachi.

Well... that's stupid... I was doing this for the whole point that the game I'm making could be "online" multiplayer... Not get two computers and get the people at my house! I could then just easily program it to one computer to have it multiplayer on one computer.

If you use Hamachi, you can play multiplayer Scratch projects with someone in a different country.

This is Hamachi.
Providing a link to Hamachi would save an inquiring post/Google search, seeing as not everyone knows about it

Your firewall is blocking Scratch because Scratch is trying to access the network. To let Mesh function properly, unblock Scratch.

Before we start: Scratch Wiki links are here! Use them when you want to look something up.
Build Your Own Blocks (BYOB)
Panther
([ ] sensor value)
System Browser
Shift-clicking the R
Mesh (as if you need that article, a Mesh guide is right here and the article was based on this anyway)
You are telling people not to look at the wiki!? Impostor!

Hey Shellscratch, generally on this website, swearing is not allowed. If you'd like to get some help with creating stuff, you might find it useful to create your own topic in "All About Scratch" and politely ask for help, describing the specifics of what you want.

Eh... uh... I'm sort of suggesting that they look at the articles, right?
