I designed a paint application created for ANY OS. I am about to test it right now on 08jackt's SynOS. I will take screenshots of it working. Anyways, V-paint was specially created to be imported into scratch operating systems, of course exporting all the sprites is a pain which is why I will create a zip file of them all and upload the file onto a file hosting site for you to download. If you wanna preview of the application go to
http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/dethklok52/923737
there is atleast 1-5 glitches, which will be fixed in 2.0, but for now enjoy!
Download link:
V-paint
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Mirror 3
Mirror 4
Link broken? try a mirror!
Installation:
1.Download the file
2.Open it and put the sprites into your OS project
3.Go to each sprite and change the "Go to" to the corresponding
*all v-colors goto color menu
*yes & no sprite goto Fullscreen
*color menu exit goto color menu
*info menu exit goto info menu
*V-paint icon bright goto v-pain icon
4. Fix it to however you want it to be
Need help? go to
http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?pid=343914#p343914
Compatiable with
08jackt's SynOs
(to install make sure the go tos are correct and that the icon shows when the desktop is displayed)
WaveOs's WaveOS
if anyone else wants me to test it on their OS just post here

test it on virtual computer 2, although I probably wont use it since a pant application is totally useless on it.

No offence, but i wouldn't even call it an OS. There is no start up, and its havoc. V-paint is only for operating systems.

It IS an OS. Load-ups are, well, kind of stupid. They waste time and scripts going into some boring part of the project that nobody really cares about. I don't feel like waiting 10 seconds to play a game that DOESN'T require loading, Scratch does that for me. Also, a good 75% of OSs spend too much time recerating some features that are, honestly, useless, like changing the background or music, and forget the purpose of Scratch projects: To be either informative, fun, or creative. To say this isn't an OS because it's not serious and actually focuses on the users enjoyment instead of "Oooh, flashy loading, (not saying that every OS with loading is bad") or Oooh, he successfully recreated A C:Doc.Html/Cvd.Hm.Rnee.C++ document" is wrong. What's wrong with thinking outside the box?
CONCLUSION: What makes an OS an OS isn't the loading, the graphics, the fact is has the word OS in it's name or even read documents. It's the recreation of an operating system.
Woh, did I just write all that? Well, when you say something I don't agree on I make sure I give you a very annoying argument. Anyway, you might be able to poke a few holes in it, but it's an OS anyway.

What you did was not thinking outside the box, really to me it just looked very noobish. No offence to you of course, everyone enjoys different things,I enjoy a complete mini recreated OS on scratch with astounding features and customizable backgrounds
but thats just me

Gotcha. I'll test it on Xenotype next.
ok make sure you fix the goto blocks. If you don't know where they are supposed to go its
color menu exit>Color menu
info menu exit> info menu
Brush>mousepointer

I totally agree, everyone as different opinions. All I'm saying is a spoof OS is still an OS.
