emotional problems are for real life, facebook, or myspace

please for the love of god sticky this, more and more I see people posting emotional problems on here, we are people across the entire world, we don't know anyone in real life on this site, so we don't want to see random problems that we don't know anything about cluttering the forums, post on facebook or myspace, real life is even better since your real friends understand you and know you and if they really are true friends they actually care about you

No one cares about me in real life, and I'm under 13.

We care about you, it is just that you are someone we don't know. So we can't care that much. Do I sound too cruel? Well you just complain a lot and there isn't anything we can do. Sorry.

Oh yeah, lets sticky this so that people can talk even less about scratch projects and more about e-drama...

There are other sites you can go to support.

I complain because of a fight I got into with my friend. It's personal business, all I reveal is that I'm upset.

Perfectly worded.
We hope you understand.
I agree with this post. Perhaps emotional problems threads should be banned like religious threads.

I am assuming you are being sarcastic.
I think drama like whats been happening should be banned.

That could (easily) accidently happen on this site.

I commented on an announcement project, "I don't need to know your problems," then I was yelled at, and it was just WOAH!

Also, once I said a complete nock-off of cube-guy someone made was pointless, and they were talking all about how they just kep the stroy and prorammed the rest of it, but I still thought it was to much of a knock-off, but before I could say that, they deleted my post, and disabled commenting on the project in a fit of rage.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I know DancingQueen6o in real life, but she never posted anything in the forum or the main site, and she quit.

But that is wrong because people CAN know other Scratcher in real life.

Now only using this account to post in Miscellaneous, but when Miss_Webgal becomes a Scratcher I'm ditching this account.

Re: emotional problems are for real life, facebook, or myspace

An interesting topic!  But I'm not sure I can agree with it.  We are a community of people, after all, and people have feelings.  If there is a misunderstanding in our community of some sort and a bit of discussion will resolve it then let's talk about it.   Let's try to keep the discussion in general terms though - without mentioning people by name.

Calling someone out by name in the forums and accusing them of some miss-deed immediately puts that person on the defensive and starts an argument.  It's better to just report the issue to the Scratch Team and we will sort it out without a lot of bad feelings.

So if you come across a topic that deals with an emotional issue concerning Scratchers - please be supportive and polite and direct them to the Scratch team.  Thanks for your help and Scratch On!

Re: emotional problems are for real life, facebook, or myspace

i think he means topics about life not about scratch that talk about problems.  i've had people on scratch ask me for advice on a problem and there is simply nothing I Can do so i just tell them to talk to someone in their family like their parents.

i don't want people using this site for real life emotional problems.  it's not what it's for.  now if tis a problem between scratchers then thats understandable.
