Some Trolls possess abnormally large Djelos Glands, which cause them to be over envious of good projects and is sometimes the fuel and spark for their flame breath. But Trolls are unable to breathe fire unless they are well fed. Also the 60 second rule Goblin does his best to slow down rampaging trolls, but I guess his cave domains don't reach out beyond the Forumlands.
Hey Ace, I know you're on some kind of a post count quest...but please try to keep your posts on topic.

Scratch isn't gonna fix itself, we need to take part. Complaining and quitting doesn't help. Here's some stuff you can do to still have fun and do your jo.
1. If there's some drama club, just ignore it and don't get involved. Wasting your time rambling about how you hate that stuff makes you sound more like a dramatic fanatic.
2. If people are trolling you put them on your ignore list or report them. If you keep telling them to stop, that will fuel them more.
3. If you feel uncomfortable, take a little break from Scratch, tell a friend or the Scratch team, or make a new account. You can still have fun on Scratch.
Some great tips!

I don't think one thread is going to do much...
I'm still waiting for the time when a large revolution appears.

If we're going to change Scratch, we need to start by posting this on the main site. Most drama-starters don't even use the forums.

But how do we get it noticed?
I don't want to start a flame war... but anyway, I don't really know how to fix this.
One thing we need to know before we can get started: Why did Scratch change? There's nothing wrong with Scratch, it's just different than how it was before. I suppose we could just continue making our own projects and respecting others...

In my opinion, ignoring trolls, spammers, and flamers can only go so far - if there is no one to support users and all they get is negative comments, their first reaction is to complain and leave and that just leaves to more negativity (or e-drama, as other have described it) - aside from blocking, reporting, and ignoring, I think one of the best ways to tackle this e-drama is by reaching out to new members to counteract any negativity that comes along the way.
I remember a while back illusionist has proposed that we take up a New Year's Resolution to help Scratchers 2010 (I couldn't find the thread so I'll link to Wickimen's project, which is basically the same idea. Has anyone here tried to keep this resolution yet?

We don't get involved, and wait for it to magically disappear. And I guess support others.
We could make a project about it.......and just try to enjoy Scratch anyways.
It changed because more people came, who had different interests, which is fine. But to some people it wasn't and they started arguing. Then friend's back each other up, add in a quart of misunderstanding- Flame war casserole. It's a pretty common recipe, but if we work together maybe others will follow our example.

Maybe encouraging all projects...?
That's a start.

I never forget!
The things I was posting (which may or may not have been deleted) was the basics of Forum Knowledge, mixed together with a fantasy scenario.

The site is covered in attention seekers who threaten to quit just because they're not popular, or for other reasons no one cares about.
Well, once they are all gone, good riddance.
