Anothers thing is that maybe we could have a big rules section, all about the things you can and can't do on scratch. Or is there one already?

Nope, There is not. The rules seem to be whatever anyone decides to say is disrespectful.

This has happened to me sometimes. For example, once I got a warning for insulting a wide group in the forums. I had no idea what I had did, so I emailed the Scratch Team and I got an answer.

Scratch 2.0 will be the site.

I can see that it would be nice to know why you received the notification. With our current system, that would be a bit tough to do - it would take moderators a lot more time when checking stuff that has been flagged as inappropriate. So we depend on Scratchers to think about what was said or went on recently. In many cases, it's probably easy for Scratchers to tell what led to the notification - like if you've recently been in an argument. But in some cases, it's probably not so clear.

We'll consider adding this feature to the list of requested features for Scratch 2.0. Meanwhile, if you are really confused, you can always use the contact us link to ask the Scratch Team to explain why you received the notification - we're happy to clarify.

So wait, if I report someone and say "He was being rude and was mean to me" you just send a report to them without checking the post? Because that's what I'm understanding from your wall of text

No, that is not correct.  There are some notifications that are automatically sent - but they are clearly marked as system generated.  If your notification doesn't say that then it means that it was generated by a Scratch Team member personally, after reviewing the complaint.
