Re: GQ3 BETA TESTERS [Sub-thread]

I don't really want to beta test, but could you also make a ridiculously easy version for people who aren't very good at Scratch games, like me?

Re: GQ3 BETA TESTERS [Sub-thread]

If possible, I'd like to be a beta tester. I've always been good at nit-picking... I mean, identifying problems. I'm skilled at finding glitches in sensors, problems with costumes, and bugs with the scripts. When I find the problems, I'll see how they can be fixed. I have a good understanding of Scratch.

So, given all of that, I'd like to be a beta tester.... unless you have too many already.

Re: GQ3 BETA TESTERS [Sub-thread]

To whoever is testing this, try this flash too
http://spamtheweb.com/ul/upload/230310/84698_as3circle.php

Unfortunately, I saved over the old flash source files so they had to be remade. I think I worked all possible bugs out. Try to make this flash file malfunction in some way then report the bugs. One thing you can try to jumping on to corners because this was a problem in earlier versions (should be fixed now).

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

I am not going to use scratch anymore, going for flash/AS3 all the way now. I originally started out using flash but I stopped mostly when I started to use scratch. Scratch has kind of frustrated me because it isn't good for making anything near professional quality work. I may try to make my projects again when v2 of scratch comes out but that would be a long time from now.

Okay.

Also, attempting to give out more betas now. Although undoubtedly the stupid filter will strike again.

Re: GQ3 BETA TESTERS [Sub-thread]

Okay, everyone should have gotten a beta (if not the latest) that they can work to find bugs in.

The beta is well done. It Has no bugs that I have found, and it's pretty hard to hack it. (Change health, and things like that)

Just been playing - brilliant game, by the way. Love the background scrolling.  smile

Haven't found any bugs, but I think that's because I keep dying, 'tis too easy to die.  tongue  And the character is slidy along the floor. (slippy grass!) Brilliant job otherwise, smashing quality.

The background scrolling was quite fun to make and actually worked out well :-)
You're not the first to talk about it being really slippery so I'll probably reduce the friction.
And my strategy guide should be enough to keep you from dying  smile
