Also, if you want to see Mars, it should be near the moon. It looks reddish so you should be able to tell it apart.

I remember two years ago in Boy Scouts (I'm still in Boy Scouts) we got to see neptune and some nebulas (I think o_O) through this guy's super powerful telescope. Also he had an awsome handheld laser-light pen that was so strong, the light beam could go to the moon and farther.

And then you shine it at the ISS and you shine it in someones eye and then "Where's that coming from? Owwww... my eye!"
