iPhone 3GS is the best. The non-phone equivalent of this is the iPod Touch 3rd Gen.

Yeah... if it comes w/ 3.1.3, then too bad.
Anyway, it'll probably have the new bootrom, and be tethered in the first place.
But if you hurry you'll at least have a jb.
