A MMOG is not actually possible in scratch without modding it.

not in scratch .
but we can make a version of scratch in the MMOG were lots of scratchers can work on a project at once.

Re: About Collaborations

It really is good that scratch society supports collabs. I know some users thought they were some kind of misuse but well done for clearing that up.

We're really interested in Collaborations / Companies because we think it's great when Scratchers work together to make interesting projects. One of our goals for Scratch 2.0 is to better support collaborations like these, so we'll be checking in from time to time to see how things are going, and to learn from your experiences.

If you have thoughts about how we can better support collaborations by Scratchers, please feel free to share them in the Suggestions forum. We often check in to consider the different ideas - especially those that Scratchers have spent time thinking through or demonstrating.

Scratch On!

Well, my last 2 projects, Mac's Quest to Fix the Apple and Melanie And Me, have been horrendously ignored to the point that I wonder if I should just give up on Scratch or not. I just can't figure out what is repelling people from giving me ideas an stuff.

Re: About Collaborations

Typically, one person will start a thread in this forum, and state what game/animation they're making. Then people can join under different jobs, and they work together to make the project.

Re: About Collaborations

i think we should be able to have a 'company page' that only members of the company can access.  That would make it easier to have a company. vote here if you support my idea.

Re: About Collaborations

I think Clutter is also a great way to collaborate! Maybe fix the Clutter forums and add a Flash option to Clutter to better support projects in Clutter?

Re: About Collaborations

I have a question. If I make a collab company with someone I know in real life (and only that person in real life) does it count as a collab?

You mean they don't have an account but still do the programming?

Re: About Collaborations

I have an idea I think you should be able to message people because some people I do a collab with post in so many other topics that they can never find my thread but if you can message people about updates they will see it right away

Re: About Collaborations

maybe they should make seperate galleries where a password is sent in a message to all collaborators so only the people collaborating can view the gallery and all its contents

Re: About Collaborations

How do you let someone know a password if all messages are public?

Maybe there could be a place where you sent a password to other people, but SPECIFIC other people. It would be a different kind of message.

Re: About Collaborations

maybe a collaboration button where you enter a code for your collaboration and next time anyone in your collaboration opens scratch they get a notice that says that someone else in your collaboration sent you a project with 2 buttons one says view and the other says maybe another time so you can send stuff.

You may find it hard to maintain but a scratch chat would be nice so you can chat on there in real time like ask for help and stuff that way you could keep in touch talk about project all that  smile . So if you did I would love it
