Right hand mouse button

I wonder if anyone can help?

In the school where I work the right hand mouse button is disabled to stop the children getting into the desktop setting in windows and messing it up.  I notice that Scratch uses this button for some functions.  Does anyone know of a work around for this problem? I have one teacher who is keen on trying scratch and I know she will not be happy if it won't work.

Many thanks.

Rob.

Re: Right hand mouse button

option-click works on the Mac version of scratch.  Is there an equivalent keyboard command on the PC version?

Disabling the mice seems like a rather stupid way to get security.

You can use most of scratch without the right mouse button, but some of the more advanced features will not be accessible.

Re: Right hand mouse button

Can't access to the Display, System and other property sheets be disabled through windows security using Group Policy? Hasn't someone developed a handful of GPO templates for schools by now? I figured by now there wasn't a dollar left to be made in group policy consulting. Guess I was wrong.

Re: Right hand mouse button

We use a GPO to turn off some of the funcions of the right hand button, and yes it does sound stupid but its the only way to stop the little darlings getting in.
