The scratch 2.0 alpha is at http://scratch.mit.edu/experimental and it imports old projects beautifully.

There are lots of stuff that Flash can do that Java can't, but there is stuff that Java can do that Flash can't. Will Scratch accept the new Flash? Or will Java get really angry that we ditched it... I dunno...
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the cloning tool, which will help us make better defence games, instead of having to let us make lots of sprites and turn our games glitchy. Flash will run these better than Java, so it's a good thing, I guess.
I'm also looking forward to the new website and the paint editor. They will be the best features in 2.0. Please Admins, if you're reading this, then please release 2.0 as soon as possible.

How come no one has demanded cloning in forum posts (yet)? It definitely would save time, allowing large numbers of sprites without having to mess with stamping (which can be done, as I demonstrated in Reflector Towers, it is just a little of a pain to do).
Anyway, I can't wait for it to come out!

Because cloning is already planned.

Squeak is a rubbish program, Scratch is an epic program, it outperforms GM Pro and many others, but the only problem is, it was due to be released early 2011 (this post was made in 17/05/2011 dd/mm/yyyy) and it has not been released yet!

It never said early 2011. ^^

When will Scratch 2.0 be available?
We expect to release Scratch 2.0 sometime in 2011. Rewriting all of Scratch is a big job, so its hard to predict exactly when it will be done.
