Me and my cousin are making an iPhone/iPod Touch application similar to Scratch. I was wondering what features do you want in it? Here are features that are going to be in it as of now:
Facebook integration
Twitter integration
OpenFeint integration
Multiple views with transitions
Transitions
Menu Maker
Joypad
Accelerometer use
More types of variables
More powerful than scratch
New blocks
Possible text entry also

When will this be out?
Hopefully in about a month...... not sure though. I have the basic game engine down, just the programming of people adding scripts and the sprites to the screen and playing the game.
Here's a pic of the main menu.... it looks pretty cool

Hmm... this seems like a great idea. Could people use this program on Mac OS, Windows Vista, Windows XP,etc...? I think this should be free, and Squeak is good for Scratch, though I do admit that Scratch needs better graphics... do you think you could ask the Scratch Team about this? Maybe they could help out with extras... Good job!

And not be compatable wit scratch? Simply an alt for the iphone?
I don't know Squeak, so I cannot make it compatible with Scratch, unless I get the creators/programmers of Scratch to work with me to make a converter of Objective-C to Java applet. If I can get their cooperation, I could maybe get it compatible with it. Also, iCode will have an online user community like Scratch but not as rich of an experience online.

Okay, but will it be compatable with scratch? If not, that's the most important thing.
Really, all you need to do to make scratch for the iphone is to get the isqueak vm for the iphone and make a edited scratch morph that supports dropdown block menus instead of the scrolling square selector, an open and save menu, and make it the res of the ipod's screen.(the ipad version will be easier when theres a squeak for it, because of the freedom with the screen size)
*EDIT* unless facebook and twitter integration are crucial and easy, make sure it works first, then add the cool stuff.
Tell me if you're using a squeak vm, or making a completely new program from scratch.(pun not intended)I have been looking around forever, I have a jailbroken iphone and was wondering how the heck to get the isqueak VM. Is there a cydia repo for it?
I have the isqueak VM, amazingly, Scratch does start but it then freezes and wont word. Just saying it is very hard to get. Get it from here: ftp://ftp.smalltalkconsulting.com/experimental/iPhoneAdHoc/

The iPhones keyboard takes up exactly half the screen in Landscape mode(the app will be in landscape. That takes up too much room. The keyboard will not be allowed for use in the app unless the user absolutely wants to use it. But the app will have an integrated joypad and stuff like that.

Will your "Scratch Alt" be for download in the app store(will you try to get it there?)
or not?
Yes it will be available on the app store. I already have a few apps on the app store. You can check them out here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/wrensation/id334324950
